Get a FREE DVD of "The Brown Grand Story" with a $50 donation or more (excluding tax credits) to our renovation project-
The Brown Grand Story is a documentary about the family that built the Brown Grand Theatre, the history and cultural significance of the theatre, the renovation of the theatre, the generations of people who performed, attended and in many different ways were part of the Brown Grand Story. The documentary spans the years from 1877 to the present day and features short historical reenactments, historical documents, photographs and on camera interviews to present the story.

Kansas Tax Credits
The Department of Commerce Community Service Tax Credit Grant program announced that the Brown Grand Theatre will be the recipient of $100,000 in Kansas tax credits. Those who made pledges of $250 or more in support of this grant may send your checks to the theatre at any time (Box 347). We will then send you a 70% tax credit voucher number from the state that you can use for a refund or credit on your Kansas tax return. Once the $100,000 in tax credits are gone we will be done issuing tax credits unless some more become available at the end of 2014.
The Brown Grand has received grants from the North Central Kansas Community Network, Co for $7500, the KS. Department of Wildlife & Tourism for $30,000, the Community Foundation for Cloud County for $8500 and the Duclos Foundation for $1500. In addition, Cloud County Commissioners have designated $60,000 of Wind Farm Energy Money and the City of Concordia has designated $100,000 in funds to help this project. The Kansas Department of Commerce Community Service Tax Credit Grant. has supplied $100,000 in tax credits.Individual donors have contributed $90,000. Also, the Kansas State Historical Society will issue tax credits to be sold for 30% of the project cost. Thank you to all who are assisting this worthwhile endeavor!
