Accessibility: Please note, the Brown Grand Opera House does not have an elevator. The main floor is handicapped accessible. Handicapped parking is available on the West side of the building. Patrons needing a ramped entrance can enter the theatre’s West entrance to access the main floor. To access the stage, please use the stage door entrance for level entry to the stage. Handicapped accessible seating is available at the back of the main floor, as well as several seats available with swing-away arms to assist with ease of sitting. When purchasing handicapped accessible seating, all accessible seats are noted on the seating map.

Lovewell Institute for the Creative Arts
High School Students in Grades 9 – College Freshmen*

Thanks to the generosity of the Dane G. Hansen Foundation, the Lovewell Institute for the Creative Arts is coming back to the Brown Grand June 8-12! High School Students through Freshmen in College are welcome to participate in Lovewell.
Participants will create their own musical in one-week and perform it in front of a live audience on Friday night. If you’re interested in music, lights, sound, costumes, writing, dancing, and being onstage this one-week residency for you!
*Enrollment has closed for Lovewell at the Brown Grand year, as program has reached capacity.

“The Emperor’s New Clothes”

Missoula Children’s Theatre is BACK for another fun summer at the Brown Grand Theatre! Children entering first grade through eighth grade are invited to participate in the 2026 production of “The Emperor’s New Clothes” for FREE. Up to 60 local children will gather for one-week to memorize this musical adaptation and perform it on Saturday, July 11th, 2026 at 3pm at the Brown Grand Theatre.
Show Synopsis: “Dress for success” is good advice that the Emperor takes whole-heartedly, wanting to impress new friends. But where to stop? When the clothes (and other people’s opinions) become more important than the people of the kingdom, trouble brews. To help their beloved Emperor find the way back to his heart, his true friends create an elaborate “birthday suit” for the Emperor to wear for his birthday parade celebration. The Emperor quickly and humbly learns that sometimes “less is more”!
Registration for this summer’s production will be available starting in May 2026.
Tickets for the show will be available at the door and are $10/per person; children 10 and under free.

MINERSVILLE is an award-winning documentary about the impact and spirit of a 1870s lignite coal-mining ghost town in the Belleville-Concordia area (North Central Kansas). Sponsored by Cloud, Republic Community Foundations, and their Museums. Researched by Debi Aaron and produced by Greg Stephens, Tom Fleming, Rik Dubiel, and Gabe Juhnke in a collaboration by Salina Media Connection and Method Productions, the film tells the story and legacy of a local town’s history of 500 residents and 28 mines.
The run time of this documentary is 27 minutes long.
There are no tickets required for this event, but donations will be welcome at the door to help support the Brown Grand Opera House.

Come watch as Ray Kinsella builds a baseball field that will attract some of baseball’s greatest players – especially Shoeless Joe Jackson. Ray and his wife must juggle school politics for their daughter and the banker who keeps asking for loan payments. Some will think he has lost his marbles, while others are curious as to what will come out of the cornfield. “Field of Dreams” is rated PG.
